Azerbaijan Allocates Additional $2 Million in Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

Baku – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on Monday to provide Kyiv with an additional $2 million in humanitarian aid as the Russia-Ukraine conflict approaches its three-and-a-half-year mark. The funds, drawn from the president’s reserve fund uَnder the 2025 state budget, will be managed by Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry for purchasing and shipping locally produced electrical equipment.
The decree instructs the Finance Ministry to allocate the specified amount and highlights Azerbaijan’s ongoing humanitarian support to Ukraine amid the conflict, reflecting its commitment to humanism. Since the war began, Azerbaijan has delivered humanitarian assistance multiple times to Ukraine and has contributed to the recovery efforts with a total of $42 million, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev.
President Aliyev recently spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, discussing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
