Attaf: The Algerian-Italian partnership is excellent

ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, praised on Saturday the Algerian-Italian partnership, describing it as “excellent” and “dynamic.”

Speaking at a press conference held at the Ministry’s headquarters, Ahmed Attaf emphasized that among the international cooperation partnerships offered to the African continent, “the partnership with Italy is the most impactful,” as it is “based on concrete, on-the-ground projects.”

In the same context, he noted that Algeria’s relationship with Italy “has risen to the forefront within just a few years, particularly in the field of trade.” He praised the “diversification of investment in the energy sector and the supply of natural gas to this friendly country,” highlighting major projects such as green hydrogen, fiber optics, and other initiatives with a broader European scope, driven by Algerian-Italian cooperation.

On another note, the Minister of State emphasized that South-South cooperation “is rooted in Algeria’s commitment to strengthening its relations with the Group of 77, which represents developing countries and was established in Algeria, reflecting a continuous effort driven by the firm belief in the necessity of developing such cooperation.”
