Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held talks on Tuesday with the European Union envoy to the Sahel-Saharan region, João Gomes Cravinho, as part of his participation in the 7th AU–EU Partnership Summit, held in Luanda.
This meeting allowed both parties to exchange views and analyses regarding recent developments in the Sahel region on political, security, and economic levels, and to discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation and coordination to support efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in this regional space, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
