Attaf Engages in Bilateral Meetings with Counterparts in Jeddah

On Wednesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral meetings with several counterparts from Arab and Islamic countries. These discussions took place on the sidelines of his participation in the ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, as stated by the ministry.
In this context, Mr. Attaf met with Ayman Safadi from Jordan, Ishaq Dar from Pakistan, and Ali Bagheri Kani from Iran. He also engaged in talks with his Somali counterpart, Ahmed Moalim Fiqi.
According to the statement, the focus of these meetings was to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations and to prepare for future cooperative initiatives between Algeria and these friendly nations.
Moreover, the minister extensively discussed the latest developments regarding the Palestinian cause and the repercussions of escalation policies imposed by the Zionist entity in the Middle East. He reaffirmed Algeria’s steadfast positions and its unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause from its position at the United Nations Security Council and other regional and international platforms, according to the ministry’s statement.
