Attaf and Wadephul hold talks ahead of Algerian President’s visit to Germany
Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Sunday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Johann Wadephul, as part of his participation in the high-level segment of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the distinguished political dialogue and strong economic partnership between Algeria and Germany, as well as to discuss prospects for strengthening and elevating these bilateral relations to the highest possible levels, in the context of preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of the Republic to Germany, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The two ministers also discussed a range of international and regional issues, including the current situation in the Middle East and recent developments in the Sahel region, the statement said.
