Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz, currently ranked No. 3 in the world, captured the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing on Wednesday by defeating defending champion and world No. 1, Italian Jannik Sinner, with a final score of 6-7 (6/8), 6-4, 7-6 (7/3).
At just 21 years old, Alcaraz secured the 16th title of his career in the Chinese capital, adding to his earlier victories at Roland Garros and Wimbledon this year, against an opponent who had triumphed in all six finals he contested in 2024.
