At Least 75 Killed in RSF Strike on Mosque in Sudan’s El-Fasher

At least 75 people were killed Friday when the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) struck a mosque in El-Fasher, North Darfur, during dawn prayers, according to Sudanese media citing Sudan Doctors Network.
In a statement carried by local outlets, the independent network denounced “a heinous crime” committed at Fajr prayer, saying the attack killed 43 worshippers and left several others seriously wounded.
“Targeting unarmed civilians constitutes a war crime and a blatant violation of human, religious and international law,” the group said, condemning what it described as “a monstrous act that violates all international and humanitarian norms.”
Fighting between the Sudanese army and the RSF since mid-April 2023 has left more than 20,000 people dead and displaced around 15 million, according to the UN and local authorities.
