At Least 19 Killed as Two Residential Buildings Collapse in Fes, Northern Morocco

At least 19 people lost their lives and 16 others were injured when two residential buildings collapsed in northern Morocco early Wednesday, according to local media reports. Citing local authorities, the official news agency confirmed that the incident involved two adjacent four-story buildings in the Al-Massira neighborhood of Fes, home to eight families.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the collapse, and investigations are underway. Emergency teams transported the injured to nearby hospitals while evacuating surrounding residences as a precaution. Search and rescue operations remained active at the scene as responders worked to locate any individuals who may still be trapped under the debris.
