At Least 128 Dead in Hong Kong After Fire — Hundreds Still Missing (Authorities)

The blaze that ravaged a residential complex in Hong Kong on Wednesday has left 128 people dead, and dozens remain missing two days after what authorities called the worst fire the city has seen in decades, city Security Chief Chris Tang said Friday.
A previous toll listed at least 94 dead. The fire also injured 79 people, according to Tang, in a joint press conference with firefighters.
Of the 128 confirmed dead, 89 remain unidentified, he said. The number of missing — which includes some of the deceased not yet identified — stands at around 200.
The investigation into the causes of the disaster is ongoing and could take three to four weeks.
