As the special envoy of Algerian President, Saihi received by President of Cabo Verde

Algerian Minister of Health Abdelhak Saihi was welcomed on Tuesday in Praia by President José Maria Neves of Cabo Verde during his official visit as the special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. This information was reported by the ministry on Thursday.
During the visit, Saihi presented a handwritten letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to President Neves, conveying “his distinguished fraternal greetings,” according to the statement. He also expressed Algeria’s desire to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations, as emphasized by the same source.
In response, President Neves praised the visit, stating that it “reflects the potential for cooperation between the two countries.” He highlighted Algeria’s “steadfast positions,” particularly noting that Cabo Verde will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its independence on July 5, which was proclaimed under Algerian oversight.
President Neves reaffirmed “his country’s commitment to strengthening relations with Algeria,” acknowledging the admiration his people hold for Algeria and its citizens. He expressed “his utmost respect” for his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
“This meeting offered the special envoy an opportunity to underscore the necessity of activating the frameworks for bilateral cooperation across various areas of mutual interest,” the source added.
The Health Minister arrived in Praia, the capital of Cabo Verde, on Wednesday as the special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
