Arab Parliament Condemns Settler Terror in the West Bank

The Arab Parliament strongly condemned the terrorist aggressions carried out by settlers across several villages and towns in the West Bank, under the protection of the Zionist occupation forces, emphasizing that these crimes represent a dangerous and systematic escalation targeting Palestinian civilians and their properties, revealing a coordinated policy to forcibly impose a fait accompli of settlement expansion.
In a statement on Sunday, the President of the Parliament, Mohammed Ahmed Al Yammahi, said that the killing, terrorizing, and arson of homes and property carried out by settler militias constitute organized terrorism sponsored by the occupation authorities, flagrantly violating international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, and reflect a determination to undermine any prospects for calm or peace in the region.
The Speaker further stressed that the continuation of these attacks, alongside the escalating violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, forms part of a clear plan to change the status quo in the West Bank and impose a fait accompli policy, while erasing the historical and legal rights of the Palestinian people.
He noted that these crimes constitute a blatant breach of international legitimacy decisions, foremost among them UN Security Council Resolution 2334, as well as a disregard for the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice regarding the illegality of occupation and settlement.
The President of the Arab Parliament called on the international community and the UN Security Council to assume their legal and ethical responsibilities, take immediate and tangible measures to halt settler terrorism, ensure international protection for the Palestinian people, hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable, and place the terrorist settlers on the international terrorism list.
