Arab League Council : Algerian FM Attaf Meets with Egyptian Counterpart in Cairo

ALGIERS – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held talks on Tuesday in Cairo with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Atty. The meeting took place on the sidelines of Attaf’s participation in the 162nd Council of the Arab League at the level of foreign ministers, according to a press release from the ministry.

During the discussions, the two ministers focused on the strong fraternal and cooperative relations between Algeria and Egypt, exploring ways to further enhance these ties. The meeting also touched on preparations for upcoming bilateral events, particularly the 9th Algeria-Egypt High Joint Commission, which is expected to strengthen collaboration between the two nations.

The ministers also exchanged views on various issues of mutual concern, with a particular focus on the Palestinian cause. They discussed the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza and the escalating aggression of the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people and other countries in the region, according to the press release.
