Arab League Condemns Zionist Aggression and UN Defiance Amid Genocide in Gaza

CAIRO – The Arab League has issued a strong condemnation of the Zionist entity, the occupying power, for its persistent refusal to comply with UN Security Council resolutions demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the unconditional entry of humanitarian aid. It also denounced the zionist entity’s disregard for the International Court of Justice’s provisional orders aimed at preventing genocide.

In a statement marking the 77th anniversary of the Nakba—the catastrophe that displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in 1948—the League’s General Secretariat denounced the Zionist enity’s aggressive war on the Palestinian people in both Gaza and the West Bank, a campaign it said has now continued for more than 585 days. The League stressed that this war has brought unprecedented suffering and destruction, and called on the international community to stand in defense of a people subjected to the worst forms of violence and injustice.

Describing the situation as a “process of genocide and liquidation,” the League highlighted the ongoing killing, displacement, and forced expulsion of Palestinians, with over 200,000 lives lost and the entire two-million-strong population of Gaza displaced. It warned of a total collapse of life in the Strip due to the destruction of essential infrastructure, the imposition of a suffocating blockade, and a catastrophic lack of water, medicine, and food.
