Arab and Muslim Nations Mobilize Against Trump’s Plan

Arab and Muslim nations have intensified diplomatic efforts against US President Donald Trump’s plan to “take over” Gaza and forcibly remove Palestinians. The Qatari and Malaysian prime ministers held urgent talks, with Malaysia condemning Zionist violations of a ceasefire deal brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the US. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed his country’s commitment to humanitarian aid and the Palestinian cause.
Pakistan and also expressed deep concerns over Trump’s proposal. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated his country’s unwavering support for Palestinian rights. Additionally, Egypt announced a preliminary agreement to convene an emergency ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to reject the forced displacement of Palestinians. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has also been engaging with regional counterparts, including those from Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Jordan.
Trump’s calls to displace Palestinians to neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan have been widely condemned by Arab and Palestinian leaders. His proposal comes amid a fragile ceasefire that began on Jan. 19, following months of Zionist aggression that have killed over 48,200 people. The Zionist entity now faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
