The Secretary-General of the African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO), Farid Ghezali, is set to undertake a working visit to Algeria as part of his participation in the 8th Symposium of the Algerian Gas Industry Association (AIG).
The event is scheduled to be held on March 30–31, at the Mohamed Ben Ahmed Conference Center in Oran.
Ghezali will participate as a keynote strategic speaker, delivering a presentation on the topic: “Natural Gas in the Service of Africa: Energy Sovereignty, Industrialization, and African Cooperation – The African Petroleum Producers Organization as a Catalyst,” the Algerian Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Mines said in a statement.
This participation is part of efforts to strengthen strategic discussions on the role of natural gas in supporting development across the African continent and promoting cooperation among African hydrocarbon-producing countries, contributing to achieving energy sovereignty, advancing industrialization, and fostering continental integration, the statement said.
