Angola: At Least 117 New Cholera Cases Reported in 24 Hours

The Angolan news agency ANGOP reported on Thursday that at least 117 new cases of cholera have been confirmed in the past 24 hours.

The most affected regions are Luanda, which has recorded 80 cases, and Bengo, with 20 cases, as detailed in a bulletin from the Angolan Ministry of Health cited by the agency.

Additionally, the same source indicated that 198 individuals suffering from the disease are currently hospitalized. Since the outbreak began in January, Angola has reported a total of 5,336 cases, including 193 fatalities.
