Algeria’s Mansouri in Pretoria to Chair the Focal Points Committee Meeting

Selma Bakhta Mansouri, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, arrived in Pretoria, South Africa, on Thursday to preside over the 10th session of the Focal Points Committee of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.

This session, held under Algeria’s presidency of the APRM Heads of State and Government Forum, will focus on “the review of the renewal of members of the Panel of Eminent Persons,” according to the statement.

Additionally, it will address “various administrative, organizational, and financial matters related to the management of the Mechanism. This includes monitoring the implementation of the Strategic Plan for the period 2024-2028 and the continental governance assessment report for 2025,” the source added.
