ALGIERS, April 9, 2025 – Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, met with a delegation from CNN International on Tuesday in Algiers. During their discussion, they explored the investment opportunities within Algeria’s information sector, as noted in a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
The CNN delegation was comprised of Oikonomou Konstantinos, Vice President for Strategic Partnerships, and Walid Chamak, the Strategic Partnerships Coordinator for the Middle East and Africa, according to the communiqué.
This meeting provided an opportunity for the Secretary of State to highlight the investment prospects in Algeria’s information sector, particularly in light of the reforms initiated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as stated in the announcement.
Furthermore, the conversation included discussions on enhancing cooperation between CNN and various Algerian media institutions, especially regarding training initiatives, the communiqué added.
