
Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, was received on Thursday by the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio. This meeting took place during his official visit as a special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as stated in a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
During this meeting, the Secretary of State delivered a letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to his Sierra Leonean counterpart, conveying warm fraternal greetings and shared aspirations to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations. The communiqué highlighted the aim of elevating these ties to new heights for the mutual benefit of both parties.
The discussion also offered an opportunity to exchange views on various aspects of the relationship between Algeria and Sierra Leone, as well as strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple fields.
The two sides addressed significant issues at both the continental and international levels, reaffirming the importance of strengthening coordination and consultation between their countries, the communiqué concluded.
