Algerian Products Exhibition in Doha: Opportunity for Win-Win Trade Partnership (Zitouni)
On Monday in Doha, Qatar, Minister of Commerce and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni declared that the Algerian Products Exhibition he inaugurated signifies a continuation of the roadmap established between the two countries to develop a concrete plan for a genuine partnership and trade exchanges based on the win-win principle.
Speaking at this economic event alongside Qatar’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Abdullah Ben Abdelaziz ben Turki Al Subaie, Mr. Zitouni highlighted that this is “the first Algerian exhibition organized in Qatar,” featuring participation from over 150 Algerian companies representing various production sectors.
He stated that the products showcased by these companies “have achieved significant success and have contributed to self-sufficiency in Algeria, in addition to their export orientation.”
The minister noted that Algeria has reached an export goal of $7 billion outside of hydrocarbons, with a program aimed at nearly $30 billion by 2030. He emphasized that this target was set “based on data from producing companies in Algeria and the partnership relations between Algeria and other countries, including Qatar.”
The opening of this economic event, which aims to strengthen trade relations between Algeria and Qatar while showcasing the quality and diversity of Algerian products in the Qatari market, was attended by Algeria’s ambassador to Qatar, Salah Attia; Kamel Moula, president of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA); Charaf Eddine Amara, president of the National Union of Public Entrepreneurs (UNEP); and Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani, president of the Qatari Businessmen Association.
Organized by “Tasdir,” a subsidiary of the SAFEX group, in coordination with the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI) and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, this exhibition will run from October 22 to 26. It features 150 Algerian companies exhibiting a wide range of products, including food, industrial, and artisanal goods known for their quality and excellence in international markets.
