Algerian Presidential Election : Candidates Rally for Strong Voter Turnout to Counter Algeria’s Ennemies

The candidates for the Algerian presidential election called for high voter turnout on September 7th to bar way to Algeria’s enemies and strengthen the country’s stability.

At a popular meeting in Tiaret, Socialist Forces Front (FFS) candidate Youcef Aouchiche stressed the importance of a massive participation in the next presidential election, calling it “a milestone in the history of Algeria.”

He pledged that if elected, he would provide “the appropriate conditions for the young people to invest and innovate,” adding that Algerian young people have all the necessary qualities to contribute to the building of the country, drawing inspiration from the values of the Algerian Revolution and the sacrifices made by its heroes.

The leaders of the political parties supporting the independent candidate, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held popular meetings and rallies in various towns and cities, underlining the need for the Algerian people to vote on September 7th to stand up to those threatening Algeria.

The leader of Tajamoue Amel Al Jazaïr (TAJ) party, Fatima Zohra Zerouati, at a popular meeting in Tizi-Ouzou, urged the local population to go to vote in large numbers on September 7, an event to “face those threatening Algeria.”

In Skikda, the president of El Moustakbal Front, Fateh Boutbig, held a popular meeting with the secretaries general of the National Democratic Rally and the National Liberation Front, mentioning the achievements of the independent candidate, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during his first presidential term, in which good measures were taken to “face attempts to destabilise Algeria, preserve people’s dignity and open the political arena to young people and women, allowing them to take their rightful place.”

The leader of Al Fajr Al Jadeed, Tahar Benbaïbeche, at a popular meeting in Bordj Bou Arreridj, called people to go vote and choose the independent candidate Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to allow him to continue the country’s development and strengthen its stability.

The president of El-Bina Movement, Abdelkader Bengrina, said in Boumerdes and Algiers that the achievements of Abdelmadjid Tebboune had made Algeria “sovereign in her decisions” and “contributed to the protecting it from foreign  interference.”

The candidate of the Movement of the Society for Peace (MSP), Abdelali Hassani Cherif, at a campaign meeting in Tiaret, said a massive participation in the election would “bar the way to Algeria’s enemies,” adding that the presidential election “is being held in an exceptional global context marked by major changes.”

He added that his political project “is based on a prospective approach to achieve development, ensure food security and optimize the use of the resources of each region.”
