Algerian President Kicks Off the Final of the Algerian Military Football Cup

The president of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, officially inaugurated the final of the Algerian Military Football Cup on Thursday at the Center for the Gathering and Preparation of Military Sports Teams (CREPESM) in Ben Aknoun, Algiers. The final pitted the team from the 4th Military Region against the team from the 1st Military Region.
The President observed the proceedings of the 52nd edition of the Military Football Cup Final from the official stand at CREPESM, which is named after “Boudjriou Messaoud” in Algiers.
Upon his arrival at the center, the President was welcomed by Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP).
After the national anthem was played, military formations from the ANP paid their respects to the President.
The President also extended greetings to the Army General commanding the Republican Guard, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, the Commanders of the Armed Forces and National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the 1st Military Region, the head of the Employment-Preparation Department of the ANP General Staff, as well as the head of the military sports service.
