ALGIERS, March 5, 2026 – The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired on Thursday a working meeting devoted to reviewing the progress of several megaprojects, including the Eastern mining line, the phosphate mine and its processing units, and the zinc extraction project in Oued Amizour, ahead of the start of their effective operations at the end of March.
The meeting also addressed the Trans-Saharan Highway project and the Algiers–Tamanrasset railway line.
