Algerian President Chairs the 34th Summit of African Peer Review Mechanism in Addis Ababa

ADDIS ABABA, February 14, 2025 – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired the 34th summit of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) on Friday at the African Union (AU) headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He presided over this summit as the Chair of the Forum of Heads of State and Government of the APRM.
Several heads of state and government from the member nations of this African mechanism participated in the proceedings, along with officials from various AU structures and institutions.
Representing Algeria were Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad; Abdelhak Saihi, Minister of Health; and Nadjiba Djilali, Minister of Environment and Quality of Life. Also present was Salma Bakhta Mansouri, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs.
Additionally, Amar Bendjama, the Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations, and Salma Malika Haddadi, the Algerian Ambassador to Ethiopia, were in attendance.
It is noteworthy that the President has held the presidency of this forum since February 2024.
