Algerian President Carries Out Cabinet Reshuffle in Hydrocarbons, Mining Sector

ALGIERS, April 9, 2026 – The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, carried out on Thursday a cabinet reshuffle, appointing Mohamed Arkab as Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mourad Hanifi as Minister of Mines and Mining Industries, and Karima Tafer as Secretary of State to the Minister of Mines and Mining Industries, according to a statement from the Presidency.
