Algerian PM Opens 9th Session of Algerian-Egyptian Joint High Commission, Highlights Strong Bilateral Cooperation

The Algerian Prime Minister delivered a speech in Cairo marking the opening of the ninth session of the Algerian-Egyptian Joint High Commission for Cooperation. He emphasized the shared commitment of both countries to elevate their partnership to reflect the long history of collaboration between their peoples and the strong will of their leaders, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, expressed during the summit in Cairo on October 25–26 last year and through ongoing high-level contacts, the most recent on October 8.
He underlined that the determination of the leadership in both countries to strengthen Algerian-Egyptian relations has laid the foundation for long-term cooperation, aimed at achieving the highest levels of complementarity and integration, serving the interests of both nations and the aspirations of their peoples for closer ties, enhanced collaboration, and interconnected interests.
The Prime Minister highlighted the rich economic record shared by Algeria and Egypt, noting exemplary cooperation and successful partnerships across sectors such as energy, trade, and investment. He also pointed to concrete achievements in recent years, including major joint investment projects in energy and petrochemicals — notably nitrogen fertilizers in Oran — electrical cables in Aïn Defla, the pharmaceutical industry in Algiers, as well as promising projects in construction, public works, services, and agriculture.
