Algerian PM Meets the Italian Ambassador (Press Release)

Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui welcomed the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, on Tuesday at the Government Palace in Algiers, as stated in a release from the Prime Minister’s office.
During this meeting, which also included the Minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, both parties commended the strong relations between their countries, noting a positive momentum across various sectors. This progress follows the significant outcomes of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s state visit to Italy in May 2022 and the subsequent bilateral meetings held between officials from both nations at different levels.
In recognition of the historic friendship binding the two countries, they emphasized the importance of enhancing and expanding scientific and cultural cooperation, particularly in research and archaeological excavations.
It was agreed to organize a scientific conference that would gather specialists, scientists, and experts from both nations to develop a comprehensive work program. This program will include participation in archaeological excavations, the preservation, management, and promotion of archaeological heritage, as well as higher education and training in this field, the communiqué concluded.
