Algerian PM Chairs Interministerial Meeting to Advance Algeria–Niger Cooperation

The services of Prime Minister’s Office of Algeria announced that Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb on Thursday chaired an interministerial meeting to review the state and prospects of relations between Algeria and Niger.
The meeting was held in implementation of instructions issued by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to follow up on the outcomes of the official visit by Niger’s President, General Abdourahamane Tiani, to Algeria on Feb. 15–16, 2026.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including energy, infrastructure, industry, health, trade, and training. Participants also reviewed mechanisms for implementing joint bilateral projects, as well as cooperation and solidarity initiatives agreed upon by both sides during the presidential visit.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by the two countries to deepen strategic partnership and enhance collaboration across multiple sectors of mutual interest.
