Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines Emphasizes the Need for Continued Work to Execute the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline Project

ALGIERS – The need for continued work to execute the trans-Saharan gas pipeline project linking Nigeria, Niger and Algeria was emphasized Wednesday in Niamey (Niger), the Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines said in a statement.

The Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab was received in Niamey (Niger) by the Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Niger, Ali Lamine Zeine Mahaman, according to a Ministry press release.

Niger’s Oil Minister, Mahaman Moustapha Baraké Bako reaffirmed his country’s willingness to provide the necessary conditions for the resumption of Sonatrach’s activity in his country, particularly at Bloc Kafra oil field.
