Algerian minister of health meets with Mauritius PM

In his capacity as the special envoy of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of Health Abdelhak Saihi was received in Port Louis by the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Navin Ramgoolam, according to a statement issued by the Ministry on Saturday.
The statement outlined that Minister Saihi delivered “a written message from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune” to PM Ramgoolam. During their meeting, they discussed “ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas, including fisheries, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, training, energy investment, renewable energy, and sustainable development.”
The meeting also underscored “the importance of these sectors in reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two countries and the need for exchanging expertise and experiences to achieve shared goals,” the source said.
For his part, PM Ramgoolam expressed his “desire to visit Algeria in the near future” and his “hope to meet President Tebboune at the upcoming African Union summit in Addis Ababa,” the statement added.
The meeting was attended by Algeria’s Ambambassador Mauritius, who represents Algeria from Madagascar, along with several officials from both countries.
