Algerian FM Represents Tebboune at 34th Arab League, 5th Arab Development Summits

Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs has touched down in Baghdad, Iraq, to represent President Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the 34th Ordinary Session of the Arab League and the 5th Arab Development Summit, set for Saturday, according to a statement from the ministry.
In the communiqué, it was emphasized that “the latest developments regarding the Palestinian cause should take priority on the agenda for the Arab Summit’s ordinary session, especially given the ongoing and abhorrent aggression by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.”
Participants will also dive into discussions about the current political landscape in the Arab world, focusing on strategies to strengthen joint Arab action and boost the effectiveness of multilateral efforts.
Moreover, the Arab Development Summit will tackle the pressing socioeconomic challenges facing Arab countries, exploring ways to adopt collective measures that enhance food, water, and energy security for all Arab states and peoples. The summit will also look at developing inter-Arab trade within the framework of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA), aiming to foster collaboration and unity among nations.
