Algerian FM Receives Tunisian Counterpart

ALGIERS, Nov 5, 2025 – The Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, met on Wednesday at the ministry headquarters with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia, Mohamed Ali Nafti, who is visiting Algeria ahead of the Tripartite Mechanism meeting of neighboring countries on Libya scheduled for Thursday, the ministry said in a statement.

The meeting reviewed “the development of the various aspects of the fraternal and cooperative relations linking the two brother countries, thanks to the special attention these relations receive from the leaders of both nations, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his counterpart President Kaïs Saïed,” the statement added.

On this occasion, both parties emphasized “the importance of seizing the ongoing preparations for the 23rd session of the High Algerian-Tunisian Joint Commission to achieve new progress and further consolidate gains to elevate bilateral relations to the highest possible levels of partnership and integration.”

During the meeting, “the two ministers also discussed several issues of common interest, including the latest developments in their shared regional neighborhood,” the communiqué concluded.
