ALGIERS, March 11, 2026 – The Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Wednesday a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen, according to a statement from the ministry.
During the phone conversation, Ahmed Attaf renewed his congratulations to his Dutch counterpart on his appointment as head of his country’s diplomacy, before discussing with him ways to strengthen relations between the two countries, particularly in view of upcoming bilateral meetings, the statement added.
The two ministers also exchanged views on “the escalation in the Middle East and developments in the Sahel region,” the same source said.
