Algeria’s State Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Thursday at the ministry headquarters the Japanese Vice Foreign Minister, Yohei Onishi, on an official visit to Algeria, according to a statement from the ministry.
The meeting, held in the presence of the Ministry’s Secretary-General, Lounès Magramane, provided an opportunity to “emphasize the need to elevate economic cooperation between the two countries to the level of the privileged political relations that unite them, notably through concrete measures aimed at increasing the volume of bilateral trade and encouraging Japanese economic operators to expand their direct investments in Algeria,” the statement said.
