Algerian FM Holds Working Session in Maputo with Mozambican Counterpart

On Tuesday, Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held a working session in Maputo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Mozambique, Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, as reported by the ministry.
The discussions centered on “preparations for the 6th session of the Joint Governmental Commission and the prospects for maximizing the outcomes of this bilateral meeting to enhance relations between the two countries, particularly in the areas of defense, security, energy, agriculture, trade, information, and higher education,” the statement indicated.
During this meeting, both ministers exchanged “views and analyses regarding the evolving situations in various conflict hotspots across the African continent and underscored the importance of continued joint coordination in support of just causes both in Africa and beyond, notably the Palestinian cause and the issue of decolonization in Western Sahara,” the same source added.
