The Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, met on Tuesday in Addis Ababa with Mohamed Ali Nafti, the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, according to a communiqué from the ministry.

During their meeting, the two ministers explored “various issues and topics that will be addressed at the upcoming Executive Council meeting of the African Union (AU), while also discussing developments related to the Palestinian cause in anticipation of an extraordinary Arab summit focused on this matter,” the statement noted.

The two parties further reviewed “the schedule of bilateral deadlines and looked for ways to optimize them to achieve greater cooperation and complementarity between the two brotherly countries, in line with the vision and intentions of both nations’ leaders, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his counterpart President Kaïs Saïed,” the communiqué concluded.
