Algerian FM Attends Opening of 19th NAM Ministerial Meeting in Kampala
On behalf of the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, took part on Wednesday in Kampala (Uganda) in the opening ceremony of the 19th Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
The opening ceremony, attended by Minister Attaf, was chaired by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who currently holds the rotating presidency of the NAM.
Held under the theme “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence,” the two-day meeting focuses on assessing progress made in implementing the conclusions of the NAM Summit held in Kampala in January 2024, as well as exploring ways to strengthen the Movement’s influence in addressing the growing global challenges, in line with the priorities and interests of the Global South.
