The Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, was received on Thursday in Bern by the President of the Swiss National Council, Pierre-André Page. The meeting took place as part of Attaf’s official visit to the Swiss Confederation, according to a ministry statement.
The statement noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to “review the various dimensions of the friendly and cooperative relations between Algeria and Switzerland and to reaffirm the political will of both sides to strengthen them further.” The two parties also discussed “ways to ensure that the parliaments of both countries contribute to efforts aimed at fostering bilateral partnerships, particularly through the activation of various mechanisms offered by parliamentary diplomacy,” the statement added.
