Algerian FM Attaf Holds Talks in Kuala Lumpur with Lao Counterpart

ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur with his counterpart from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Thongsavanh Phomvihane. The meeting took place on the sidelines of Algeria’s signing ceremony of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, the Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The discussions focused on exploring ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Algeria and Laos, building on their shared history of anti-colonial struggle and their aligned positions on just causes around the world, the statement added.
