ALGIERS- The Algerian minister of State, minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, will take part Wednesday, via video link, in the ministerial meetings of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC+, the ministry said Tuesday in a statement.

The minister of Energy will take part in 191st Meeting of the OPEC Conference that will bring together the ministers of the member countries to examine issues of common interest, the statement noted.

In addition, Arkab will participate, on the same day, in the proceedings of the 60th meeting of the joint ministerial monitoring committee (JMMC) and the 39th OPEC and Non-OPEC (OPEC+) ministerial meeting, it added.

The meetings, as part of the joint efforts to ensure the stability and balance of the global oil market, will be an opportunity for the signatory countries of the Declaration of Cooperation “to assess compliance with commitments on production levels and discuss the situation on the oil market and its short-term outlook.”
