Members of the Algerian Council of the Nation will participate in the periodic meetings of the permanent committees of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) from September 16 to 20 in Midrand, South Africa, as announced in a statement released Thursday by the upper chamber of Algerian Parliament.

“This session will be held under the theme set by the African Union for 2024: “educate an African fit for the 21st century: building a resilient education system for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality and relevant education in Africa,” the source noted.

The Council of the Nation is represented in this continental parliamentary organization by two members: Abdelmadjid Azzedine, the president of the North Africa geopolitical group at the PAP, and Abdelmalek Tachrift, a member of the Public Accounts and Audit Commission (CAPA) of the PAP, the statement concluded.
