Algerian Army General Stresses Combat Readiness, Tactical Training in Visit to 3rd Military Region

During a visit to Algeria’s 3rd Military Region, Army Chief of Staff General Saïd Chanegriha reaffirmed the importance of tactical drills and combat preparedness in a speech delivered as Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense.

Chanegriha emphasized that combat experience remains a decisive factor in measuring a force’s operational readiness. “Individual skills, discipline, and adaptability to changing battlefield conditions are essential traits for achieving victory,” he stated, underscoring the need for consistent training across military units.

The army chief also stressed that tactical exercises serve as real-world tests of the training system and combat preparation levels. “Exercises are the foundation for building competence and improving performance, as well as ensuring mastery of available weapon systems and equipment,” he noted.

Chanegriha concluded by highlighting the need for progress in all military sectors to align with the substantial efforts and resources invested. He reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment to building a powerful defense force capable of protecting national sovereignty, the country’s security, and its strategic interests.
