Algeria Welcomes Preliminary Agreement to Halt Military Operations in Gulf, Middle East

The Algerian government welcomed the reaching by the concerned parties of a preliminary agreement under which military operations in the Gulf region and the Middle East are to be halted, expressing its sincere appreciation for the international mediation efforts that made it possible to achieve this agreement on the path of containing escalation in the region and finding radical solutions to all existing disputes in the region.

The Algerian government calls for continued positive and sincere engagement with international mediation in order to achieve lasting and sustainable security in the region. It also stresses the imperative of not overlooking the requirements and foundations of security and stability in brotherly Lebanon.
