Algeria Vows to Amplify Africa’s Voice on the UN Security Council, Defend its Causes

ORAN (Algeria) – The Algerian minister of State, minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, said Monday, in Oran, that Algeria, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, works seriously, devotedly and sincerely to raise the voice of Africa, advocating its causes and defending its priorities.

In a closing address at the 11th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, the minister said Algeria, as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, “works seriously, devotedly and sincerely to raise the voice of Africa, advocating its causes and defending its priorities.”

“Based on this vision, we are extremely proud to contribute to establishing and consolidating this African process, aiming to unify and strengthen the voice of our continent at the international stage.

Attaf added that the seminar’s results are designed to “add value to our common effort, mainly by highlighting, with professionalism and excellence, the means and prospects for meeting the challenges facing our continent, both externally and internally.
