Algeria to showcase rich cultural heritage at Expo 2025 in Osaka

OSAKA – Algeria’s pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, will host the “Week of Joint Cultural Innovation for the Future” starting on Sunday until May 2, featuring promotional days dedicated to national heritage, aiming to showcase the richness and diversity of Algeria’s tangible and intangible cultural legacy, Algeria Press Service (APS) reported on Saturday.
On this occasion, Slimane Hachi, Director of the National Center for Research in Prehistory, Anthropology, and History, will deliver a lecture titled “Algeria, Land of Beginnings,” highlighting the country’s significance as a cradle of civilization. His talk will shed light on archaeological discoveries and historical research that underscore Algeria’s deep-rooted human presence, the source said.
According to the news agency, Algeria’s participation in this major international event aims to strengthen its global presence and forge new partnerships across various sectors.
It is noteworthy that Algeria has a long-standing history of participation in international expos, including those held in Montreal (1967), Osaka (1970), Seville (1992), Lisbon (1998), Zaragoza (2008), Shanghai (2010), Yeosu (2012), Milan (2015), Astana (2017), and Dubai (2020).
