ALGIERS – Algeria is taking part in the 2025 United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum, scheduled from April 15 to 17 at the UN headquarters in New York, the Ministry of Youth said Monday in a press release.
The delegation participating in the ECOSOC Youth Forum consists of four (04) young people representing different regions of the country, said the same source, underscoring that this meeting “is an annual platform that enables young people to dialogue with the member States of the Council in order to share their views and strengthen measures and recommendations for a more equitable and sustainable world, drawing inspiration from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the horizon 2030.”
This Forum themed “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda,” will discuss “concrete measures and commitments for the achievement of the SDGs under review at the 2025 High-Level Political Forum,” added the press release.
In this respect, the Minister of Youth, in charge of the Higher Council of Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui, received on Sunday, the delegation of young people participating in this forum, emphasizing on the importance of “ensuring the best representation of Algeria and energizing the role of youth diplomacy that the sector is working to implement.”
