Algeria has initiated the necessary procedures for the termination of the agreement on air services between the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), signed in Abu Dhabi on 13 May 2013 and ratified by Presidential Decree of 30 December 2014, Algeria Press Service (APS) reported on Saturday.
Pursuant to Article 22 of the aforementioned Agreement, the Emirati contracting party shall be notified of the termination through diplomatic channels, concurrently with notification of the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), for the purpose of undertaking the required procedures.
