Algeria Takes Part in International Energy Transition Expo in Rimini

The Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) is participating, alongside several economic companies representing different renewable energy sectors in Algeria, in the international energy transition exhibition Key – The Energy Transition Expo, held in Rimini, Italy, the center said in a statement Thursday.

On the occasion of its participation in the event (March 4–6), organized under the supervision of the Directorate General for Scientific Research and Technological Development under the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the CDER presented “an overview of its various research products and development projects of its economic subsidiaries, particularly those related to solar photovoltaic energy.”

The center also highlighted the expertise of Algerian researchers and engineers in developing modern systems and applications for implementing high-quality projects that meet internationally competitive technological standards.

At the Algerian pavilion, CDER showcased quality-control systems developed through its technological platforms, particularly those related to solar energy testing, calibration of solar radiation measurement instruments, and quality and efficiency tests for solar water heaters.

These systems attracted interest from foreign companies and engineering firms seeking to improve solar power plant design through precise and reliable measurements, the statement added.

According to the same source, the exhibition provides an opportunity for Algerian companies to hold bilateral business meetings with foreign counterparts to explore cooperation opportunities and exchange expertise, particularly in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Key – The Energy Transition Expo is considered one of the main European events dedicated to energy transition and clean technologies. It brings together companies, researchers, and investors presenting the latest solutions and innovations aimed at supporting decarbonization and the development of renewable energy.

The annual event covers several areas of the energy transition ecosystem, including solar and wind energy, energy storage, energy efficiency, electric mobility, and smart city solutions.

It also features conferences and professional meetings aimed at strengthening knowledge exchange, establishing new partnerships, and addressing the major challenges and opportunities related to the future of energy at the global level.
