Algeria Strongly Condemns Zionist Aggression Against Syria, Urges UN Action

ALGIERS — Algeria has strongly condemned the latest Zionist aggression against Syria, describing it as a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. In a statement issued Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its urgent call for the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and put an end to the Zionist entity’s repeated attacks.
“The Israeli occupation continues its relentless escalation in the Middle East, opening multiple fronts in an attempt to impose its hegemony on the states and peoples of the region with complete impunity,” the statement read.
Algeria warned that the latest developments mark a dangerous escalation, citing Zionist strikes on government institutions and civilian infrastructure in Damascus and Al-Suwayda as deeply alarming. The aggression, it said, represents a direct threat to Syria’s unity and an unacceptable violation of international law.
Algeria expressed full solidarity with Syria, reaffirming its legitimate right to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability in accordance with the UN Charter and the principles of international law. The statement concluded with a renewed appeal to the UN Security Council to act decisively to stop Zionist attacks, which continue to plunge the region into instability and insecurity.
