Algeria Strongly Condemns Zionist Aggression Against Lebanon

ALGIERS, March 18, 2026 – Algeria on Wednesday strongly condemned the Zionist aggression against Lebanon, which has resulted in heavy human losses and considerable material damage, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Israeli aggression against Lebanon is witnessing continuous escalation, leading to heavy human losses and significant material damage,” the statement said.
“Algeria strongly condemns these unacceptable attacks and expresses its full solidarity with Lebanon, both its leadership and its people,” while “reaffirming its constant commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity,” the same source added.
“Faced with this tragic situation, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, remains in constant contact with his Lebanese counterpart, Joseph Aoun. He has also instructed the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, to maintain close coordination with his Lebanese counterpart, Youssef Rajji,” the statement concluded.
